Friends of Marina Park FOMP

FOMP supports maximum public access to, and people-focused activities within, Thunder Bay’s Marina Park. Specifically, the critical mass for sustaining the park will come from people in all walks of life having full and equitable access to all areas of the park and its amenities.

Activities generated by this critical mass will support a high level of activity in the park which, in turn, will assist in supporting businesses located in the north ward downtown core.

We not only welcome, but encourage, modest and limited development of, and improvements/ enhancements to Marina Park which will not create an unreasonable financial burden on taxpayers.

Finally, to achieve this end, we support a truly inclusive community consultation process being utilized to determine outcomes for the park that will result in widespread community acceptance.
