Who are the “Friends of Marina Park”?
The faces of “Friends” are people 
who came together with the common vision of viewing green space as a treasure, who believe in the philosophy that parks are for people, and who see that this community needs green space dedicated to the citizens of Thunder Bay for leisure use. They represent people from all walks of life, from all age groups, and from all wards from across the City of Thunder Bay.
Collectively, they share the belief that development in the form of private residences, condominiums and hotels should be located outside the core of Prince Arthur’s Landing, Marina Park.who came together with the common vision of viewing green space as a treasure, who believe in the philosophy that parks are for people, and who see that this community needs green space dedicated to the citizens of Thunder Bay for leisure use. They represent people from all walks of life, from all age groups, and from all wards from across the City of Thunder Bay. This view is supported by thousands of Thunder Bay citizens who signed the recent petition circulated across the city or who signed and commented on the I-petition or who expressed their opinion on FaceBook.
The friends are individuals who are collaborating to have City Council understand their belief that parks are for people.
