Marina Park, located at Thunder Bay’s waterfront, will be the mainstream access to Lake Superior, to the panorama of our wonder, “The Sleeping Giant” and to people-focused recreational and leisure activities on our city’s waterfront.
Development to support such activities must take precedence over any intervention of commercial and private residential development.
We believe, as a fundamental principle, that our community’s health and development is well served by a sustainable park system that is accessible to the community at large. We further believe that Marina Park, widely acknowledged as the jewel of Thunder Bay’s park system, should set the standard for open and equitable community access.
