Notice of Application and Public Meeting for Zoning By-law Amendments to Permit Certain Uses Related to the Development at Prince Arthur’s Landing at Marina Park

The Public is invited to attend a Public Meeting, which City Council will be holding on:
MONDAY, AUGUST 31, 2009, 6:30 p.m.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS 3RD FLOOR CITY HALL
500 DONALD STREET EAST


Purpose of the Public Meeting

• To consider changes to the zoning provisions that apply to a portion of the lands that will be developed at Prince Arthur’s Landing at Marina Park;

• To provide an opportunity for the Development Services Department to present the proposed amendments and respond to any questions relating to them;

• To allow interested parties to express their opinions about the proposal; and

• To allow community input on the proposed amendments.

Submission of comments and notice of decision:
Written comments may be filed at the meeting or mailed to the City Clerk or assigned Planner.

Please include your name, mailing address and telephone number, and quote the file number OZ-07-2007 in any correspondence.

Previous plan adopted (and abandoned?) by the City.
On October 20, 1997 Council approved "the Next Wave", a visionary development plan for various portions of Thunder Bay's 55 kilometre waterfront.

A Community Improvement Plan approved by City Council (By-Law 96-2000) and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing

Public parking (45 spaces) adjacent to railway line behind condos/hotel.
Also on either side of Commercial Building closest to CN Station.
This parking was to be for winter use only, in summer was for  events.
